When everyone and their mother is talking about a game, it's hard not to join in on the conversation. You don't want to be left out after all! Positive reviews are key. When your business is being raved about from happy customers, more people are going to be interested in what you have to offer.


Branding is necessary.

Kudos to you if you have a great product, but you need more than that. If you have a good brand, you can sell pretty much anything. Pokémon Go has been so successful because their brand has been developing for years. Millennials are attracted to the app but older fans of the game are also downloading it.


Timing is everything.

Imagine Pokémon Go's success if it was released in mid-January. This game works because people enjoy playing it outside in nice weather. The launch date was strategic and frankly, genius. Do you really think it would have had the same success in 2 feet of snow? You have to think about when your products will be most valuable.
